Diamond Industrial Supplies are proud Members of Scottish Engineering

Diamond Industrial Supplies are a proud member of Scottish Engineering, and we thought it was time to explain why we support this organisation and how it supports our clients.

This week we had the pleasure of having Paul Sheerin, CEO of Scottish Engineering at our offices.  We chatted about the way forward for Scottish Engineering including the work they are doing for the environmental impact of the industry.

For the last 150 years, Scottish Engineering has been the voice of the manufacturing and engineering industry in Scotland. Originally set up to support and lobby for the engineering industry in Scotland, their membership has grown and changed to support more industries than ever before. Their goal is to connect companies with the resources that they need to grow and thrive.

“When business thrives, communities prosper and Scotland benefits. We connect Scottish industry to the resources they need to thrive. By supporting Scottish industry we’re helping to create a resilient, skilled economy to compete on the world stage.” Scottish Engineering

By creating a superior network of companies who can work together on projects, Scottish Engineering helps to improve innovation, knowledge sharing and collaboration in the industry. They also deliver first class employment and HR support to their members, helping all of our individual businesses ensure our people are as happy and supported as possible.

The Scottish Engineering team are also championing STEM education in schools to help inspire the next generation of leaders in our industry, something which we at Diamond are also passionate about.

As we enter our second year of membership, the Diamond team is dedicated to proactively work as a member of the engineering community and is excited to fully explore the opportunities that another year of Scottish Engineering membership will bring.
