Diamond's Sustainable Journey

We believe that business can be a force for good, which is why in today’s ever conscious eco-friendly world, becoming more sustainable is a prominent factor in Diamond’s business strategy. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint, and as such, have embarked on a journey to reduce our impact on the world.

Internal Awareness

We are working tirelessly to increase our internal environmental education, and we have now included this learning part of our team’s training schedule. We are also taking measurable steps towards lowering our carbon footprint, and we consider the environmental impact prior to making any key and major business decisions.

Recycling Packaging to Reduce Waste

Packaging waste is a global concern, so instead of discarding packing materials, we recycle as much original packaging as possible (currently around 80%). This not only minimises waste, but also reduces the necessity for new packaging materials to be produced. It's a small step, but one welcomed by our customers.

Precision Delivery to Reduce Our Carbon Footprint

Diamond Industrial's sustainability journey extends beyond ordering and packaging, to our planning and delivery processes. Unlike traditional bulk shipping, where items are transported in large quantities, we opt for a more precise approach. We deliver to customers exactly the number of products they require. This simple change has a profound impact – it reduces both the weight and space required during delivery. This means fewer emissions and a significantly reduced carbon footprint.

Partnering with Ethical and Sustainable Suppliers

We understand that our journey towards sustainability doesn't end with our own practices. That's why Diamond Industrial proactively seeks out relationships with suppliers who are making significant strides in ethical and sustainable products, like Portwest and ORN Workwear. By supporting these suppliers, we are helping our customers to make better choices more easily.

All these small steps are adding up to big reductions in our carbon footprint, but being eco-conscious is not just a trend for our team; it's a fundamental shift in how we do business to help us make a difference for our customers and the planet.
